The Ramblings of Faraway Arriety

My thoughts while watching Doctor Who: The Snowmen

Ohhh me likey the new title sequence

image

not so much the new TARDIS interior

image

maybe it’ll grow on me…

LOVED Richard E. Grant and Ian McKellen being all evil - I got rather excited when I heard Sir Ian’s voice

image

And the fact that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle based Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson on a Lizard Lady and her human wife this is canon now and surely proof that Moffat ships Johnlock yes?

image

And as for Clara Oswin Oswald I will admit to being at bit confused - Are the past, present and future ones related and conveniently identical or is she reincarnated or something else entirely??? I would say we’ll find out soon but this IS Moffat we’re talking about…

I do really like Jenna Louise Coleman though - I think she’ll be a good companion.

So yeah my favourite thing about the episode

  • The Doctor (obvs) - my poor baby was all sad and then found Clara and then lost her and is going to find her againĀ  - FEELS
  • Madame Vastra, Jenny and Strax - LOVE Strax (silly sontaran is silly)
  • Clara saying ‘It’s smaller on the outside’ instead of ‘bigger on the inside’ - I’ve been waiting AGES for someone to say it the opposite way! - Also she was more than a little Mary Poppinsesque wasn’t she?!

All in all an enjoyable episode.

About

Hey there I'm Arriety. Someday I hope to make a living from my overactive imagination and travel the world, but for now I am content to distract myself with reading, writing, making jewellery, fangirling and learning things all while eating copious amounts of chocolate and watching too much film and tv.
